Where freshwater meets saltwater
Delvene Cockatoo-Collins
Dunwich, North Stradbroke Island
I live on Minjerribah, North Stradbroke Island, Quandamooka Country, Australia and belong to the Nunukul, Ngugi and Goenpul peoples. I am a full-time artist working on projects including Jarjums Life Museum (Aboriginal children telling their own stories and displayed in pop-up museums), creating work for exhibitions, facilitating workshops and I have a small business called 'Made On Minjerribah'. The small handcrafted items including ceramics and prints, through Made on MInjerribah are available at retail outlets and at Aboriginal and community festivals within Australia including the Quandamooka Festival events throughout July to September annually, Clancestry in Brisbane, Boomerang Festival at Bluesfest (Byron Bay), and Homeground Festival in Sydney.
